The educational program QMSys GUM is used to analyze the uncertainty of physical measurements and calibrations. It follows the official documentations rules i.e. ISO Guide to the expression of uncertainty measurement; EA-4/02 Expression; DKD-3 Angabe der Messunsicherheit bei Kalibrierungen; EURACHEM/CITAC Guide; Quantifying Uncertainty in Analytical Measurement; ANSI/NCSL Z540.2; U.S. Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement. It is using the uncertainty propagation (GUM) method for calculating the measurement uncertainty. Its major features are it is best for linear models; it has 10 input and 1 output quantities; it supports Normal, Lognormal, Rectangular, Triangular, Trapezoidal, curvilinear Trapezoidal, U-shaped, Quadratic, Exponential, Cosine, and 1/2 Cosine distribution; it contains both Direct and indirect methods for observation.
